All is not bright and clean in the Visual Novels world. Sometimes you found yourself crying while playing and sometimes you don’t even read dialogues anymore as your mind is filled with boredom. The novel i’ll talk today is a member of the second category. I don’t know why at first i wanted to play it. Maybe it looked nice enough to picked up my interest. Indeed graphics were pleasant to look at, the plot seemed cliché but that didn’t mean it would be bad. |
Amorous Professor Cherry is about a young guy named Kouta who’s basically deeply in love with his teacher Chieri.
He always think about her and can’t focused on class. His grade are deteriorating rapidly as his mind (both his minds lol) can’t only think about her.
This is all the plot is about at first and i naively thought it would evolve rapidly into something deeper and more complex. I lost my hopes so fast i couldn’t even believe what i was reading …
Chieri, worried about Kouta’s grades decided to visit him to talk and to discover what was happening to him.
First of all, i don’t know if it’s a common practice in Japan to invite your teacher in your own room but i seriously have a doubt.
Of course this situation will be the occasion to see the most worn cliché we’ve seen a tremendous amount of times, Kouta will fall on his teacher and … ejaculate at the same time.
The chain of event felt so weird and impossible i immediately said to myself : “Who the hell imagined a scene like that ??!!!”

I think it took me twenty minutes to get to that point of the game and it was clear on what this game will turn into, a bunch of lame reasons to generate sex scenes every 5 lines of non-sexual dialogues.
And what to think about the main cause of Chieri accepting having oral sex with her student ? A big choice that could conduct her to loose her job !
Since Kouta is too focused on her and his hard-on in class to have good grades, she agree to fulfill his sexual needs every morning at school because that’s her duty to help her students.
I know Visual Novels are not meant to be faithful to reality but come on, i never asked for such stupidity.
I guess an audience exist for this kind of flow in a Visual Novels. Plot, characters and dialogues are completely secondary.
I won’t deepen my analysis as you can imagine how disappointed i was by Amorous Professor Cherry
It’s only recommended for hentai fans who don’t accord to much importance about story and characters.
It was hard to found pictures to illustrate this review without sexual references :/ Sorry ^^
Graphics : 7/10 – The best part for me, it may not please everyone especially about how faces are drawn. Chieri has huge breasts, maybe a bit too much in fact.
Voices : 7/10 – Kinda pleasant i admit it. Chieri’s voices is cute and charming. On the contrary Kiyoka is a bit annoying.
Scenario : 4/10 – The basic plot barely evolve and is completely cliché, basic. You don’t really care about it after this first “accident” with Chieri in Kouta’s room.
Sex Scenes : 5/10 – Those scenes are so numerous i give them a 5, not because of their quality (which is visually kinda good) but this escalation in sex without meanings and guidelines is just gross. A sex scene must be filled with emotion and love, at least feelings. Here it’s just perversion without anything else. I don’t plenty enjoy this kind of stuff really.
Endings : -/10 – I admit it, i just couldn’t pull myself enough to achieve an ending :/ I guess i was near an end but boredom took over me. Sorry about that.
Lifetime : 2/10 : 7/10 – I decided to put two notations here. The first one consider the game without any sex scenes, 2 is harsh but deserved since without those scenes there’s not many things left. The second note is if you consider strictly the game as a whole.
Total : 4/10 – Boring, predictable, empty and even stupid sometimes. Definitely not the kind of visual novels i enjoy playing.

At first i don’t mind a teacherxstudent story, we all fantasied on one of our teachers one day ^^
But sadly i guess it’s impossible to find a good developed story based on that theme :/
I didn’t felt courageous enough to get an ending but i was heading with Chieri.

Well i wasn’t really laughing, but i was more like “What the f… ??? That’s a joke right ?” and after this first impression i don’t really remember what happened since i wasn’t paying attention to the dialogues. 
It’s a change to read a review on something you don’t like. A very well written speech.
Not really another opinion to give since i never played this kind of games but, for testing, unfortunately i had to bump on this one i think i would have been completely disgusted.

Clearly it’s not as enjoyable to write a post about something you disliked. But it’s necessary sometimes.
Thanks a lot for complimenting my speech ^^ That’s sweet of you. I think the main problem about visual novels is that many of them are never translated from Japanese to English.
So there’s a limited choice for people like me who simply can’t understand Japanese at all.
From what I’ve seen, there are basically two types of visual novels: ones that focus mainly on story, and ones that focus on sex. I guess Amorous Professor Cherry belongs in the latter category.

Hey i wouldn’t mind a game that subtly mix both types
I don’t mind sex scenes at all and even enjoy them as long as they have a strong meaning between 2 characters.
Interesting post about what you don’t like…I wasn’t expecting a hentai novel post when I saw the post title ^^ Sad to say I am one of those who skip the story and go straight for the action if the story is sucky XD!!! Having a teacher help you clear your hardons early in the morning so that you can concentrate is just an excuse for more sex scenes ^^
But a really good story does help in building anticipation for the eventual action between the characters!

i think i wouldnt mind a game like this but not all the time… for the moments my other head starts doing the thinking lol XD but i do agree that a good story is veryy important and makes the romantic parts just that much more touching and memorable :3

Romance is mandatory to have a good enjoyable sex scene in a game to my opinion.

I think it wasn’t an easy one consider the fact that you’d need to play through something that doesn’t give provide you with the fun factor (I judge that from your rating). I think I’ll pass this since most of your scores are low. The graphics look quite good and you’ve given it a 7/10. I like big breasts, but huge… that’s kinda like over the limit I guess

Yep it wasn’t as pleasant as the other posts i’ve made but it’s a necessary step i guess. I played as long as i could but i reached a “too much” point and had to give up :/
Yep graphics are pleasant to look, Chieri’s breasts are the only one to be big, it’s a unusual size but it’s not ridiculously huge.
Well as a girl i think it would be veeeeery uncomfortable to be so “equipped” loool

Guess now I know to avoid it. You’d think I’m in wherever there’s ero-scenes involved, but surprisingly I do get bored if they string too many together. I remember having the skip button paperweighted for most of wanko to kurasou, and that wasn’t even thaaaat ero-scene intensive.
I wonder if I should rethink my eroge position. Hum.
APC sounds like classic western porn – every mailman, every car accident, anything you can do results in sex.
Japanese teachers seem to do house visits when there’s something notable with the student. Dunno.

I can see mans have a different playing approach :p I just can get over some stupidity in a plot, 2 characters have sex together for good reasons, not just because his grades are going down or she slipped on a soap in the bathroom.
I think even you would be deeply bored with this one, it’s very ero intensive.
I remember the first image i saw was from a dream of Kouta of his teacher … i don’t need to tell you what he was dreaming about.
Well visiting a student house, why not, but in the student own bedroom ? I’m doubtful.
Maybe i should push the nightmare a bit further to see how it ends lol, i don’t have a clue right now. That’s why i didn’t noted the endings.
I don’t really play this type of visual novels. I prefer either yuri VN or ones with a real story.
